A FEW WORDS FROM THE ARTIST
I loved Arts ‘n Crafts since I was a child. Having come from a family that was always painting, crocheting, sewing, etc. it was almost inevitable that I, too would love arts and crafts. I’ve been drawing and making my own paper dolls since the tender age of four and sewing and crocheting since I was 12.
Over the years, I’ve added knitting, sculpting, acrylic painting, acrylic pouring, etc to the growing list of artful activities.

What are reborns used for?
It is not unusual for reborn babies to be used for therapeutic processes, often with autistic children and also for Alzheimer’s patients, or in nursing homes. For patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, weighted therapy dolls give purpose and focus as well as create a calming effect and increased communication/improved speech.
The fact that these dolls are weighted like a real baby creates a calming effect for Alzheimer’s patients and for children with Autism/SPD (Sensory Perception Disorders) as well and gives them a friend!
Prenatal classes can also benefit from these dolls as they are weighted and feel realistic like holding a real baby, helping to give expecting parents a clear idea for what’s to come.
